The Infection Prevention Society is delighted to announce the introduction of the brand new Infection Prevention Show! This exciting event will provide a platform to showcase the latest innovative technologies and products. The audience will be able to interact with experts and personalities whilst learning of the exciting possibilities offered by these latest innovations.
This day will be relevant to all infection prevention and control healthcare professionals across many industry sectors as well as professionals from catering to hospitality and from pharmacy, dentistry to veterinary services.
Highlights of the Show include:
- ‘The Impact of Change’ from BBC Broadcaster, NHS Doctor, Private Eye Journalist and Comedian, Dr Phil Hammond. During his session, Dr Hammond will consider the effects on the NHS for its staff, patients, and suppliers of rapid change in personal and business environments
- A ‘Pitch in Five’ with five companies getting the opportunity to present their novel, innovative technologies to help prevent avoidable infections to the audience. The live audience will be able to participate and provide their feedback by voting on the conference app
- ‘Question Time’ where our IPS Past President, Martin Kiernan will respond to your burning questions about novel technologies, procurement and commercial organisations. The live audience will once again be able to provide their feedback and vote on the conference app in order to provide their opinion on the use of technology within the work place
- ‘Frank Conversations’ with Dr Jon Otter, Head of Operations at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust andDr Phil Hammond to discuss contemporary issues in a very informal setting
In addition, visitors will also have access to the UK’s largest infection prevention and control exhibition offering you the opportunity to view new and innovative products and discuss your requirements with company professionals. The exhibition will include the latest evidence based equipment for the prevention and minimisation of infections which can be transmitted via: hands, environment, equipment and invasive devises. Whether delivering care at home or in hospitals, this exhibition will meet your infection prevention needs.
The show will be open from 10am – 4:30pm on Monday 1st October but will form part of the main conference programme between 10:30am – 1pm. The show is free for all and we highly recommend that you attend. Show delegates will be able to access the exhibition and participate in the live sessions and demonstrations on offer. Please note that attendance does not include access to the main conference sessions.
