Innovative new products and services from GV Health at AHCP

GV Health (stand 18) is exhibiting a number of innovative new products for healthcare cleaning at the Association of Healthcare Cleaning Professionals (AHCP) annual conference and exhibition, opening today at the Telford International Centre.

Amongst products never before shown are new domestic and clinical waste bags designed to help cleaners meet stricter environmental targets expected to be introduced later this year. The bags are manufactured from new blends of plastic which enable a higher percentage of recycled material to be used whilst not compromising on strength. GV Health's new clinical and domestic waste bags are compliant with the 2011 Safe Management of Healthcare Waste regulations.

New wipes and other environmental disinfection products are also featured on the stand. These enable cleaners to address some of the most difficult environmental cleaning issues such as those encountered in operating theatres and during termination cleaning.

GV Health's improved and expanded range of emergency spill cleaning kits are also on display. Kits are available for spillages of biohazards including blood, vomit and urine, chemicals, noroviruses and cytotoxic drugs.

GV Health are also unveiling new training courses designed to help hard pressed managers and staff keep up to date with a range of specialist topics. The provision of training for areas such as the safe management of healthcare waste, environmental disinfection and infection prevention is increasingly vital as new regulations are introduced. GV Health offer a range of training packages which can be customised to fit in round the requirements of busy domestic services departments.
