Microfibre

Trials in Scandinavia and elsewhere in Europe have indicated that the use of cleaning products made from microfibre can help reduce infection and improve standards, productivity and cost effectiveness. AHCP’s report “The impact of microfibre technology on the cleaning of healthcare facilities” suggests that the introduction of cleaning systems based on products made using microfibre in UK healthcare facilities would yield similar benefits. Written in 2004 it has now been archived. Many Trusts nation-wide have examined it and have now initiated a form of microfibre cleaning system within their healthcare premises.

For the benefit of Trusts still considering implementation of a scheme both Report and Appendices can be accessed by clicking on the links.
