At the successful AHCP Southern Branch Study Day in October 2011 delegate feedback identified a strong interest in knowing more about Environmental Awareness.
Taking that forward, AHCP Southern Branch Committee, in conjunction with Scot Young Research (SYR) and Environmental Excellence are excited to offer members fully funded access to an all day training event on Thursday 23rd February 2012 which will lead to a nationally recognized intermediate level qualification in ‘Developing Environmental Awareness’.
This event will focus on all the key areas which impact on the environment including the management of energy, waste, water use and transport, plus how to reduce the risk of pollution. Although the day will not focus specifically on cleaning activities, the principles outlined are transferable to all roles and departments.
Not only will this course offer delegates a CPD and qualification, it will also help you support your organization in achieving its carbon reduction programme. This is something that the NHS is setting as a high priority with Trusts expected to deliver against challenging national and local targets.
SYR have kindly offered the use of their excellent training facilities in Stourbridge which will provide the perfect environment for delivery of this course and an opportunity for delegates to see some innovative products. The SYR facility is located near the M5 and has excellent railway links as well as accessible local hotels.
If you are interested in attending this FREE training day (the value of which is over £500) please signal your interest by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis.
