Rules

The online forum is intended to provide AHCP members and sponsors a place to discuss and exchange information and ideas relevant to healthcare cleaning and hygiene. Users are expected to use the forum in a constructive and informative way and with a spirit of mutual respect and consideration for other users. When using the Online forum you are asked to abide by the rules, which are as follows:

1. Use of the AHCP Online forum is at your sole risk. You are responsible and liable for what you say when posting in the forums. You acknowledge that by using the Online forum you may be exposed to content that is objectionable to you. You acknowledge that we are not under any obligation to monitor or review content posted on the site using the Online forum.

2. To the extent that we are notified of or become aware that content that is in breach of these rules has been posted in the forum, we reserve the right to edit or remove any such content and at our discretion to suspend access to the web site, temporarily or permanently, of any forum members posting such information.

3. The use of multiple identities or logins is not permitted and any member found to have done this will be permanently banned and blocked from the forum and web site without warning.

4. The making of repeated postings of identical or near identical information is not permitted and any member found to have done this will be permanently banned from the forum and site without warning.

5. You will not, nor will you encourage any other party, to make any statement or introduce any content to the forum which includes:

  • any content which is not directly relevant to the mission of the AHCP and the role and function of this forum;
  • swearing and/or unacceptable, indecent, defamatory, threatening, violent or discriminatory (based on race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age or disability, physical or mental) language;
  • discussions that encourage, promote or provide information about illegal or criminal activities (including but not limited to pornography, explosives, weapons, violence, drugs, programming viruses, computer hacking and copyright infringement);
  • posting of addresses for other web sites or content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights; exchanging email addresses, telephone numbers or home addresses;
  • the harassment of other users of the site (either privately or in a public forum), or the impersonation of any other person;
  • actions that would disrupt or impair the functioning, stability or security of the site (including but not limited to the introduction of viruses, bugs, worms, trojan horses or any other form of contaminants);
  • advertisements, promotions, unsolicited approaches, or any other use of the site for unauthorised commercial purposes;
  • any derogatory remarks about the AHCP, the Online forum itself or the AHCP website.

6. If you see or receive any communication which does not comply with these rules or which you otherwise consider to be inappropriate, please report it immediately to helpdesk@ahcp.co.uk.

7. Where you submit content to the forum (including without limitation any text, graphics, video or audio) by such submission you grant AHCP a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to any such content and/or to incorporate it in other works in any media, now known or later developed, for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content. If you do not wish to grant such rights you should not submit your content to the forum.

8. By submitting content to the forum, you:

  • waive any moral rights in your content for the purposes of its submission to and publication on the web site and the other purposes specified above or in accordance with the Privacy Policy;
  • warrant that such content is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to the AHCP for all the purposes specified above or in accordance with the Privacy Policy; and
  • agree that you are entirely responsible for all content that you make available on the site using the Online forum.
