Structure & Organisation

National Structure

The AHCP is lead by a National President and governed by a National Chair assisted by four Regional Deputy Chairs and nine regional branch heads, who make up the national Council of Management.

Day-to-day operations are conducted by the National Secretary, the National Treasurer and the Membership Secretary who also sit on the Council of Management.

The National Chair is elected annually from and by the corporate membership and the President is appointed from a shortlist by the Council of Management. The National Chair and President select the National Deputies.

The Annual General Meeting held during the National Conference and Exhibition is each member’s chance to be heard, but Branch Council Representatives act as a two-way channel throughout the year.

Regional Branches

There are now a total of nine AHCP regional branches located throughout the British Isles as follows:

  • Ireland
  • Midland
  • North Western
  • Northern
  • Scotland
  • Southern
  • Wales
  • Western
  • Yorkshire & Trent

Each Branch meets locally with the following aims and objectives:-

  • To uphold the National aims of AHCP
  • To represent the views of the Branch at national level.
  • To intervene on behalf of the members of the Branch on matters of national importance to the profession.
  • To provide facilities for the interchange and expansion of knowledge within the profession.
  • To provide a professional and social meeting point for the members of the Branch throughout the geographical region of the Branch.

Branches try to meet regularly so that local colleagues can discuss ideas and share experiences. Meetings may include social events, local Exhibition and Seminars all related to the members’ interests in the Cleaning and Support Services Industry.
