About AHCP
The Association of Healthcare Cleaning Professionals (AHCP) is the professional association for healthcare cleaning in the United Kingdom. AHCP members are directly involved in delivering cleaning services in more than 90% of UK hospitals and in primary care and GP clinics and surgeries, nursing and care homes, and the mental health field.
Membership is open to all organisations and individuals with an interest in improving quality and standards in healthcare cleaning including healthcare providers, contract cleaning and facilities management companies, central and local government, education, analysts, researchers and students as well as businesses supplying equipment and services used for healthcare cleaning.
The AHCP assists in the research and definition of cleaning standards and protocols used by the NHS and the UK Department of Health with the goal of delivering cleaner, safer healthcare environments. The association has one of the largest databases of specialist knowledge about healthcare cleaning processes and procedures anywhere in the world and operates an information and support helpdesk for members seeking to access and make use of this knowledge.
The AHCP’s annual national conference and exhibition is the UK's leading healthcare cleaning conference and exhibition. In addition, the AHCP supports and promotes a comprehensive, year round, country-wide range of professional education, training and development programmes including seminars, study days and courses for healthcare cleaning professionals and allied occupations within the UK and beyond.
The AHCP is a non-profit making private company, limited by guarantee. AHCP is funded through individual, group and corporate membership and through its exhibition, conference and training activities. With more than 750 individual members and over 40 corporate sponsors the AHCP is the largest and most influential professional association for healthcare cleaning in the UK.
